About us
A clinician-led network for AI in allied health
AI for AHPs is an international, clinician-led network accelerating the safe, practical adoption of generative AI across the Allied Health Professions.
Founded in 2024 and directed by Maria Garcia, Speech and Language Therapist, the network supports AHPs in building the knowledge, skills and collaborations needed to use AI effectively in clinical practice, education, research and service transformation.
We deliver national education events bringing together clinicians, academics, digital leaders and industry partners, alongside workshops, collaborative initiatives and a regular newsletter highlighting developments in AI relevant to AHP practice. Programming combines practical upskilling with strategic discussion, so members can translate emerging technology into real clinical impact.
Our mission is to keep AI learning and capability opportunities accessible, with the majority of events offered free of charge through collaboration and sponsorship. We work closely with healthcare organisations, academia and industry to develop credible, high-quality content that supports responsible AI adoption across the AHP workforce.
